What would happen if china didn't exist?
China is the world's most populous country with more
than 1.338 billion people. Located in East Asia and ruled by the Chinese
Communist Party under the one-party system. China has more than 22 provinces,
five autonomous regions, four directly administered municipalities (Beijing,
Tianjin, Shanghai, and Chongqing) and two autonomous regions: Hong Kong and
Macao, the capital of the country is Beijing.
So what if China didn't exist?
First, the most notable difference on the world map is
a big gap where China would be:
The results are particularly visible for
Russia and Japan, which are now in a much stronger position in the global
market because they will be able to trade much more easily with the rest of
Asia (considering that China is now replaced by the sea).
The earliest projectile weapon was
invented in China, Our modern weapon as we know it came from the Chinese.
Chinese army was using cannons of different sizes, flame throwers, land mines
and fire lances hundreds of years before Europe. These things were only
introduced to Europe when Mongols adapted the Chinese military.
Today's navigation can also be very different, since
the compass was invented in China 2000 years ago.
The most notable difference in general
is how companies manufacture their products. As we all know, China is the
factory of the world, manufacturing a very large part of all the products of
the world. Now, there are several options if China no longer exists.
India is replacing China as the world's
factory. Loans are just as affordable in India as in China, and India will much
more focus on the rest of Asia.
We may not even be aware of the existence of paper
because it was invented in China. Knowledge of paper was known to the world
only in the 13th-14th centuries and has already been invented for over a
thousand years.
If China were not replaced by a factory, we would have
had much higher prices for almost all products.
If China didn't exist, it would mean that the 1.338
billion people living in China wouldn’t exist either, and that would be better
for the world looking at nature.
People need space, energy, food, water and all of
these things cause CO2 pollution.
Our world is very crowded and a billion people would
contribute a lot to the consumption of products and, consequently, to air
pollution.
However, we would miss an intelligent and nice group
of people, with great culture, food and architecture.
