Trees are a form of
plant life, a wooden plant that is over 10 m tall and generally grows on land
and requires varying amounts of water. So what would happen if all the trees
disappear from earth?
If the earth's trees
disappeared, it would be difficult to imagine the continuation of life as we
know it now. If the human species or some of it survives from this terrible
destruction, life will be very different from what we know today.
Human inhales oxygen
and exhales carbon dioxide and conversely, trees inhale carbon dioxide and
exhale oxygen. The relationship between humans and trees is vital only to us.
Because trees can live without humans, humans cannot live if they disappear.
They provide a steady supply of oxygen, which is essential to the life of all
creatures.
Trees are the
decisive element in the carbon cycle, which is the second most important
element after water for life. Trees take carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and
convert it through photosynthesis into energy. After that, carbon either turns
into oxygen and is released into the air by breathing trees, or remains in it
until it decays in the soil through its roots and enriches it.
If the trees
disappear we will have high levels of carbon dioxide in the air and a decrease
in the amount of oxygen. The air will also be polluted by other substances such
as carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide, all of which are
absorbed by trees. The air will no longer be suitable for breathing, and people
will have to wear masks to filter out the rest of the oxygen. Fresh air may become
a rare and expensive commodity that most people cannot afford.
As the trees
disappear, paper and wood will disappear. Currently 1.6 billion people depend
on trees for their livelihoods and will become unemployed. As hundreds or even
thousands of products have to do with wood and paper, they will disappear.
Fruits, nuts and other nutrients also disappear with trees. Many are linked to
their work in these industries, and will have a sequential impact, increasing
unemployment, instability, chaos, encroachments, civil wars and others.
Trees give nature a
fascinating beauty, the main habitat for birds that sleep on tree branches at
night. Without them, life would become empty and soulless.
